Living On A Lifeboat

In 2010, Toryn and I (Dani) met doing equestrian vaulting--gymnastics on the back of a moving horse. Since then, we've dreamt up plenty of unconventional schemes, and we think this is our best one yet!

Formerly a BC Ferries lifeboat, Luja is a 28' semi-enclosed davit-style lifeboat which we are converting into a completely customized liveaboard boat. Right now, we're based in the beautiful Gulf Islands, truly some of the best cruising grounds in the world, and once we finish building Luja, some of our future plans include Southeast Alaska, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the canals of Europe, and beyond.

Join us as we turn our bright orange pumpkin into a tiny home and take to the water. We'll be sharing our thought process, research, projects, cruising reports and more along the way.
